BRINGING SOLID SURFACE LOCKERS TO PAC-12 SOFTBALL

In 2017, University of Utah Athletics began renovating the softball locker room at Dumke Family Softball Stadium. One of their biggest needs was how to deal with the extreme mud and rain conditions in the spring that followed players indoors after snow melt. Solid surface is the answer.

Shield worked collaboratively with the university’s athletic department to deliver 24 player lockers truly unique to the needs of Utes softball. The locker design features a solid surface build and laminate back.

Additional features include:

  • Locking cabinet with digital lock
  • Acrylic nameplate
  • Integrated USB and power
  • Marine grade vinyl bench seat and backrest
  • Lift up, perforated bench storage
 In total, 24 lockers found their new home at Dumke Family Softball Stadium, giving the Utes a competitive edge for training and recruitment. This was our first project with the University of Utah, and we're proud to have worked on their football and golf projects as well.
