In 2022, University of New Mexico Athletics began renovating the men's basketball lockers at "The Pit" University arena.

Shield worked collaboratively with the university's athletic department to deliver 15 player lockers truly unique to the needs of New Mexico Lobos basketball. The lockers feature a solid surface build, laminate back, solid surface and acrylic doors. Additional features include direct print logos, overhead storage, lockbox with digital lock, backlit acrylic nameplate, toe kick lighting, marine grade vinyl bench seat, and perforated bench face.

In total, 15 lockers found their new home at The Pit, setting the bar for recovery and recruitment in the Mountain West basketball space.

Shield has also built women's basketball, track/cross country and swim/dive lockers for the Lobos.
