SHIELD TEAMS UP WITH FAIRFIELD FOR LOCKER ROOMS 2, 3, AND 4

In 2020, Fairfield University Athletics began construction of the Leo D. Mahoney Arena the 85,000-square foot, 3,500-seat home of Fairfield Stags Basketball and Volleyball. Centerbrook was chosen as the architect, and Shield was tapped to manufacture the lockers.

Shield worked collaboratively with the architect and the university's athletic department to deliver 48 player lockers truly unique to the needs of Fairfield Stags basketball and volleyball. The lockers feature a solid surface/laminate build and laminate back. Additional features include:

• Backlit acrylic nameplate
• Routed color-infilled logo
• Integrated feature lighting
• Integrated USB and power
• Soft-close lower drawers
• Lockbox with digital lock

In total, 48 lockers found their new home at Mahoney Arena, setting the bar for recovery and recruitment in the MAAC.

Shield has also created gameday and training basketball lockers as well as soccer lockers for the Stags.
