BRINGING THE HEART OF CLEVELAND INTO THE LOCKER ROOM

In 2019, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Gensler design firm began a $185 million renovation of Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Gensler was selected as the Architect, and Shield was tapped to manufacture the lockers.

Shield worked collaboratively with Gensler and the Cavaliers to deliver 18 player lockers truly unique to the program. The design features a solid surface build and laminate back. Additional features include:

• Backlit acrylic nameplates
• Integrated USB and power
• Full-height opaque glass pocketing doors
• Marine grade vinyl bench seat cushion and backrest
• Ventilated, routed soft-close shoe drawers
• Integrated feature lighting

In total, over 18 lockers found their new home in the new Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, redefining the Cavaliers approach to training and recovery.
