IVY LEAGUE GETS THE SHIELD TREATMENT
In 2019, Yale University Athletics, in partnership with Gilbane Construction, began construction on a new facility for Bulldogs Men's and Women's lacrosse and soccer - the Tsai Field House. This sprawling, 34,800 square feet facility features athletic medicine, hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning, and recovery spaces, along with locker rooms for each program. Perkins & Will was named the architect on the project, and Shield Lockers was tapped to manufacture the lockers.
Shield worked collaboratively with Perkins & Will and the university’s athletic department to deliver 155 player lockers truly unique to the needs of Bulldog athletics. All locker designs feature a solid surface build, laminate back, and hardwood bench drawer.
