BRINGING COMPETITIVE LOCKERS TO DIVISION II

In 2020, Wayne State Athletics, in partnership with the Detroit Pistons, began construction on a new arena for Wayne State's men's and women's basketball teams as well as the Pistons’ G League Team. Rossetti was named the architect on the project, and Shield Lockers was tapped to manufacture the lockers.

Shield worked collaboratively with Rossetti and the university’s athletic department to deliver 32 player lockers truly unique to the needs of Wayne State basketball, as well as the Pistons. Both locker rooms feature a semi-circular wall condition, and the lockers were designed to fit that elevation perfectly. Both the men's and women's lockers feature a solid surface build, laminate back, and glass pivot-pocketing door. Additional features include: backlit player nameplate, toe kick and jersey lighting, lockbox with digital lock, and perforated soft-close shoe drawers.

In total, 32 lockers found their new home in the new Wayne State Fieldhouse, raising the bar for DII locker rooms .
