SHIELD BRINGS SOLID SURFACE BASKETBALL LOCKERS TO THE BIG EAST

In 2024, Providence College Athletics began remodeling the Providence Women's Basketball locker room at Amica Mutual Pavilion. SMMA was named the architect, and Shield Lockers was tapped to manufacture the lockers. This marks the second locker room partnership with Providence College, after men's basketball in 2022.

Shield worked collaboratively Providence Athletics and the architecture firm to deliver 16 player lockers truly unique to the Friars. The lockers feature a solid surface build and a laminate back. Additional features include:

• Backlit acrylic nameplate
• Soft-close pivot pocketing door
• Etched and color-infilled logo
• Integrated feature lighting
• Lock box with digital lock
• USB and power
• Marine-grade vinyl bench seat
• Ventilated shoe cubbies
• Soft-close ventilated bench drawer

In total, 26 lockers found their new home in the Amica Mutual Pavilion, giving the Friars a competitive edge for training and recruiting.
