BRINGING SOLID SURFACE FOOTBALL LOCKERS TO BIG SKY

In 2017, Montana State University, in partnership with Martel Construction, began construction of the Bobcat Athletic Complex, an $18 million, 40,000 facility primarily used for the Bobcats football team. Crawford Architects was selected as the Architect, with Shield Lockers tapped for locker fabrication.

Shield worked collaboratively with the university's athletic department and Martel Construction to deliver 111 player lockers truly unique to the needs of Montana State Bobcats football. The lockers feature a solid surface build and laminate back. Additional features include routed color-infilled logo, overhead storage, integrated USB and power, backlit acrylic nameplate, jersey, helmet and toe kick lighting, lock box with digital lock, and lift-top bench storage.

In total, 111 lockers found their new home at Bobcat Athletic Complex, setting the bar for recovery and recruitment in the Big Sky football space.

Shield has also created volleyball lockers for the Bobcats.

"At the end of the day, we're a Division I program. We want to win conference championships and compete for national championships. (With) these facilities, now we'll be able to do that for all of our sports, not just football."
