SETTING THE STANDARD IN THE NBA

The Intuit Dome, unveiled in Inglewood in August 2024, is the Los Angeles Clippers’ groundbreaking, all-electric arena and entertainment complex built for the modern age. Designed by AECOM and costing around $2 billion, the 18,000-seat venue integrates high-tech amenities—from a massive, double-sided “Halo” video board spanning nearly an acre to frictionless, checkout-free concessions and more than 1,100 restrooms—to deliver an immersive, uninterrupted fan experience. Anchored by The Wall, a 51-row, courtside-standing section, the arena emphasizes energy, intimacy, and atmosphere. Beyond its structural innovations and sustainability—achieving carbon-free operations via rooftop solar and energy storage—the Dome includes a practice facility, sports medicine clinic, retail spaces, on-site offices, and a public plaza, all contributing to a transformative community-driven project that redefines what a sports venue can be.

Shield worked collaboratively with the Clippers and AECOM to deliver 18 player lockers truly unique to the needs of the team. Since this was Shield's third locker room for the Clippers, there was no question that we were up to the task (see Staples Center and Honey Training Center).  Like the rest of Intuit Dome, the locker design is industry-leading, seamlessly incorporating storage, functionality and technology into the largest and most expensive locker in the NBA.

Additional features include:

Integrated feature lighting with door sensors
Custom metal pull
Jersey display
Pullout shoe display
Integrated USB + power
Wireless charger
Custom-stitched marine grade vinyl footrest and locker divider
Lockbox with digital lock
Pivot-pocket doors
Equipment hooks
Ice well

In total, 20 lockers found their new home at Endeavor Health Performance Center, giving the Fire a competitive edge for training and recruitment.
