BRINGING SOLID SURFACE LOCKERS TO THE HAWKEYES

In 2024, Iowa University Hawkeyes Athletics began renovation of the baseball locker room at Duane Banks Field.  The university approached Shield to manufacture the lockers and we naturally said hell yes.

Shield worked collaboratively with the university’s athletic department to deliver 45 lockers truly unique to the needs of Hawkeyes Baseball. The locker design features a solid surface build and laminate back.

Additional features include:

• Lockbox with digital lock
• Integrated feature lighting
• Integrated power + USB
• Soft-close lumbar drawer
• Marine grade vinyl bench seat and lumbar cushion
• Direct print graphics
• Soft-close ventilated bench drawer

In total, 45 lockers found their new home at Duane Banks Field, giving the Hawkeyes a competitive edge for training and recruitment.
